đź•’ 16.00 – 17:30 CEST, (followed by a Networking Reception 17:30 – 18:30 CEST)
Hosted by the Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP) and Gender and Energy Compact, co-convened by ENERGIA, GWNET, SEforALL and UNIDO, this hybrid roundtable brings together policymakers, innovators, development partners, private‑sector actors and ecosystem builders to explore how cleantech entrepreneurship can drive a just and people‑centered energy transition.Â
Around the world, women, youth, migrants and other underserved groups remain underrepresented in climate and energy innovation despite being essential to achieving the scale, diversity and social legitimacy required for an effective transition. Building on lessons from GCIP, the Gender and Energy Compact and country‑level programmes, the session will examine practical solutions to strengthen participation in cleantech ecosystems, from gender‑responsive acceleration and skills development to inclusive finance, policy frameworks and research partnerships.Â
Through first‑hand insights from entrepreneurs and targeted expert interventions, the dialogue will identify the systemic changes needed to move from isolated initiatives to breakthroughs that expand opportunities, unlock innovation and ensure that the transition to green industry leaves no one behind. The roundtable will be followed by a networking reception offering space for collaboration and peer exchange.
This event is part of the Gender Energy Compact Dialogues and the Cleantech Days happening during the UNIDO Solutions Week.
