The action required to create an inclusive energy transition begins with a multi-stakeholder dialogue to incentivize partnerships, ambitions and commitments. When you become a partner of the Gender and Energy Compact you become part of the dialogue that drives the action. As a signatory, you will play a key role to help accelerate progress towards the 2030 Agenda and create a future where women can equally lead, contribute to and benefit from a just, inclusive and equitable energy future.

This coalition brings together governments, private sector, academia, civil society, youth, and international organizations. Each signatory will develop its individual commitment to jointly bring this Multi-Stakeholder Compact to life and create impact on the ground.

The compact provides: 

• a well-recognized alignment that showcases your commitment to advancing gender equality in the energy space
• guidance and support to develop, implement and monitor your individual commitments based on your strengths and areas of opportunity
• guidance and support to promote GEEW in all energy activities
• a platform to showcase your work in the area of gender equality, women’s empowerment and climate action to showcase organizational leadership;
